This photo of Helen Keller and her teacher was just uncovered.... during a week when this past Sunday's gospel was about the blind seeing! Last night, I had rehaersals with the children's choir and the adult choir. The music was so beautiful. Both groups have improved so much and I am proud of their hard work. What would I do if I could not hear their music? But then I look at this photo, released today. It's not always about what you hear or see physically. We don't always have to use our ears and eyes to be touched by music... art... science.... God...... Helen Keller is a reminder to me to listen with my spirit. She could have given up or felt sorry for herself. Instead, she used the gifts she was given to become a famous author and humanitarian. For me, she is a perfect example of the Gospel this week. Anoche tuve ensayo con el coro de niños y coro adulto. La música fue tan hermosa. Todos grupos han mejorado tanto y soy muy feliz con su trabajo dedicado. ¿Cómo me sentiría yo si yo no podría oír su música? Entonces miro esta foto, liberado hoy. No es siempre lo que usted oye o ve con orejas y ojos. Nosotros no siempre necesitamos las orejas y los ojos para ser tocados por la música... el arte... la ciencia... Dios. Helen Keller es un recordatorio para mí a escuchar con mi espíritu. Ella podría haber renunciado o llega a ser desparate. Pero, ella utilizó los regalos que ella fue dada a llegar a ser un famosa autora y el filántropa. Para mí, ella es un ejemplo perfecto del Evangelio esta semana.
