Burma/Birmania

After a cyclone this past Saturday, Burma (Myanmar) has become a country so in need. This is not the first sign of trouble for this junta run country. Political and religious unrest has caused the Dalai Lama to speak out (see my blog "Dalai Lama Steps Down?/¿El Dalai Lama Renuncía?" under the archive "03/16 - 03/23").
But, will they accept the help of countries they have repeatedly turned away for years now? They say they will, but are making it very difficult. All we can do is wait and pray. In the meantime, the military that is running this country and so at odds with its own people, have a real opportunity. They could win the hearts and souls of the people by a swift response.
